In the News

This site features news and commentary about the use and abuse of political labels by journalists and others.

It holds that political labels should be avoided  in objective news reporting. Such labels typically are presumptuous and prejudicial, and only rarely contribute to common understanding.

The issue of political labels in news reporting has sprouted a cottage industry of pundits and numbers crunchers as to which journalists and news services supposedly are biased, based on how or how often they use particular political labels. This site takes the position that the best way to avoid accusations of political bias is to avoid political labels, unless sourced.

News reports might still be biased, but political labels won't be the issue.
